🍫 Love KitKat and love churros? Save the date - 6th of June is when KitKat releases the new flavor to stores - KitKat churro flavor.
🏆 La Passion de Dodin Bouffant wins the Prix de la Mise en Scène (Best Director prize) at the Cannes 2023 Film Festival.
Why bring this up in The Weekly Snack, you may ask? Because food plays the main character in this movie.
The film opens up with an opening scene of whole 15 min, just showing the preparation of Pot-au-Feu (French Boiled Beef and Vegetables).
Also because La Passion de Dodin Bouffant is about a talented female cook, Eugénie, played by Juliette Binoche, who for 20 years cooks alongside the famous male gastronome Dodin, played by Benoît Magimel.
Naturally, overtime they develop love for each other. The free spirited Eugénie however, doesn’t want to marry Dodin. So Dodin decides to cook for her.
La Passion de Dodin Bouffant is out in cinemas on November 8, 2023.

[If you have no clue who Cousin Greg is… Sorry, this story would be so much more interesting if you did. In short, Cousin Greg is an epic character from the epic HBO show, Succession. Go watch it it’s great].
So… Cousin Greg, played by Nicholas Braun turns out to be quit a food connoisseur, and also a very smart restaurateur.
He had invested in several iconic NY city dining venues, such as Pebble Bar, Ray's and S&P Lunch. And just before Succession’s last season premier, Braun had opened the Jac’s on Bond, partnering with the Authentic Hospitality.
Is it a spoiler for the last season’s finale? Maybe… maybe not.
As Cousin Greg would say “If it is to be said, so it be, so it is”.

Shanika Graham-White [Orchids + Sweet Tea]
Shanika had first founded her food blog Orchids + Sweet Tea in 2016, focusing on healthy eating habits with Jamaican flavour.
Very soon her husband, Darnell had joined her as the photographer and videographer.
Nowadays, they’ve established themselves as the successful food content creators, regularly collaborating the major food brands, Taste of Home, Good Morning America, The Kitchn and Food Network. Shanika herself is a contributor to Foo52 and a cookbook author.
Together they’ve also founded a content production company Brooklyn Sweet Tea Productions, creating food content directly for brands.
