Have you noticed that recently Michelin Guide had been expending to many new regions? Moscow, Vancouver, Vietnam, Malaysia… Maybe way more regions than in earlier years?

Someone’s got to pay the bill for such expansion.

And someone does. Local tourism boards do pay indeed.

So, if your local tourism board isn’t willing to pay, don’t put your hopes up too high for the Michelin Guide to ever come to your region.
